The Contract ratified unanimously by the membership (80% of membership voting) includes the following:

  • Wages:  5% increase for first year, retroactive to July 1, 2023; 4% increase for second year; 4% increase for third year
  • Wages: an additional 1% increase for anyone making less than $51,00/year
  • Wages: a clause describing possible merit increase
  • Healthcare: Employer will pay $871.40 of an individual’s healthcare; this will increase by the carrier-imposed increase up to a cap of 5% /year
  • Remote Work: contract language confirming our current hybrid schedule, “unless department needs require otherwise.” In addition, we may request up to 10 additional work-from-anywhere days / year.
  • Two new paid holidays in our contract language!  Juneteenth and Day After Thanksgiving
  • An increase of paid Parental Leave: for Primary Care Parents with more than two but less than four years of completed service at the Federation or agency, an increase from two weeks to four weeks paid leave; for Primary Care Parents with more than four years of completed service, an increase from four to six weeks paid leave; for Non-Primary Care Parents with more than two years of completed service, an increase from two to three weeks paid leave.
  • Increased meal allowance: $15 breakfast; $20 lunch; $24 dinner
  • A “No Bullying” clause
In addition, we fought back and won on the following:
  • Management wanted to eliminate paragraph 19B2, comp. time for Federation exempt employees (4 additional paid days off, or 1.33% of salary); that paragraph is staying in the contract.
  • Under Article 5, “Non-Discrimination,” they wanted to eliminate “political beliefs”; we refused to agree to this, and current contract language stays.
